NC3ADL's Fall 2013 Conference: Sept 29-Oct 1, 2013

Who? The North Carolina Community College Association of Distance Learning (NC3ADL)

When and Where? September 29 - October 1, 2013 at the Raleigh Marriott City Center Hotel and the Raleigh Convention Center.

What do they need? Your presentation proposals for their 8th annual conference. You can make a proposal for a 10-minute lightning session, or a one or two-hour session.

What's the theme? eQUAKE: Shake It Up!
eQuake = eLearning, Quality, Universal (Design), Applications, Knowledge, and Engagement.

What are sample presentation topics? Note: You're not limited to the examples
  • eLearning: What tools are you using to enhance instruction? Examples: Blogs, wikis, podcasts, mash-ups, journals, or e-portfolios.
  • Quality:  What are your best design practices? Examples: Course design, peer review, professional development, quality standards, or grading rubrics.
  • Universal Design: How are you meeting online student needs? Examples: Student services,  advising, counseling, tutoring, or online mentors.
  • Applications: What innovative techniques/tools are working with your students?  Examples: Cloud computing, software integrations, or Google Apps.
  • Knowledge: What "overall" approaches are moving distance learning forward at your college? Examples: Achieve the Dream, Online Course Evaluations, PRESS, Required or advanced instructor/adjunct training.
  • Engagement: How are you collaborating with your online students? Examples: Online meetings/chat,  application sharing, whiteboards, polling, or discussions. 

What's the deadline for proposals? June 30, 2013.
